As we look ahead to another year of community, fellowship, and purpose at our annual Shoot For the Blue, we reflect on the amazing people whose dedication has shaped this event into what it is today. This year’s gathering is especially significant as we remember our dear friend and longtime Louisiana Trooper Foundation Board member, Margaret Shehee Cole.

For fourteen remarkable years, Margaret served on the Board of Directors of the Louisiana Trooper Foundation, proudly representing Troop G. She contributed her talents to many boards throughout her life, but she often said her time with the Louisiana Trooper Foundation was among her most cherished experiences. She believed wholeheartedly in our mission and worked hard to ensure that our troopers and the communities they serve received the support they deserved. Her tremendous support, wisdom, and fierce dedication to Troop G’s annual Shoot For the Blue sporting clays event were key in turning it into the premier fundraiser it is today. We miss her dearly, and this year’s event honors her lasting legacy.

The continued success of this event is a direct reflection of the heart and soul Margaret and so many others poured into it. I am continually inspired by the tireless dedication of our advisory committee and the commitment of our troopers. Most of all, I want to recognize the spouses and families of our troopers. Year after year, they step up to volunteer, offering their time, hard work, and loving support behind the scenes. They are the true backbone of this event, and I thank them sincerely.

We are also blessed with partners who share our vision and whose continued generosity strengthens our mission.
